SDP BiH: State Department report a slap in the face to publicly exposed corrupt authorities

(Patria) - The latest State Department report on the investment climate in Bosnia and Herzegovina completely exposes the corruptness and inability of BiH authorities to implement any reforms that would enable the economic
progress of our country, SDP BiH announced.

The introductory statement from the report about "endemic corruption" supported and maintained by the ruling structures is in itself a sufficient condemnation and shame for the entire country. This is perhaps only not clear to the Democratic Front, which is suicidally supporting them for crumbs of participation in public companies.

"For the SDA and HDZ government in the FBiH led by Fadil Novalić, the fact that their rule has resulted in the State Department stating that it is currently easier to register a company in the RS entity than in the Federation of BiH should be particularly devastating. Thus, the RS, which lagged 'light years' behind the Federation in the past, has, thanks to the SDA Government of the Federation of BiH, come into the position of a more competitive part of the country. The State Department's conclusion can actually be considered an indirect recommendation to American investors to invest money in the RS as a more business-progressive part of the country compared to the stagnant and stunted FBiH. The State Department report thus best shows where SDA and HDZ are leading the Federation of BiH, even without the help of their third brother - Milorad Dodik's SNSD.

Despite this slap in the face, we are convinced that it will unfortunately not lead to sobriety among the domestic authorities. Nevertheless, we are glad that the greatest friends of Bosnia and Herzegovina, primarily the United States of America, are naming the phenomena in Bosnia and Herzegovina by their true name completely openly and publicly, and clearly calling out those responsible for such a situation. The clear conclusion that foreign investors are put at a disadvantage by the high degree of corruption and the favoring of companies that "officially or unofficially are supported by various Bosnian-Herzegovinian levels of government" is a sufficient indictment for SDA, HDZ, SNSD and their companions who rule at all levels.

This clear conclusion needs no further explanation, although in its report the State Department has dedicated an entire chapter to corruption under the auspices of the authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In responsible societies and conscientious political communities, the State Department report should be sufficient reason for collective resignations of the ruling parties at all levels of government. Of course, such a reaction should not be expected from the immoral and corrupt ruling clique, which the State Department itself has characterized as such," states SDP BiH.
