SDP BiH will stand in the way of any attack on the state

The Social Democratic Party of BiH is absolutely against the proposal of SNSD and SDS on amendments to the Criminal Code of BiH, which envisage preventing sanctions for non-compliance and non-implementation of decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH and the Court of BiH.

Once again, it is shown that from the BiH entity of Republika Srpska there is no difference in the view of the state of BiH and its institutions, regardless of whether it is the so-called reformist Alliance for Change or the opposition SNSD, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Namely, the proposed amendments to the Criminal Code of BiH envisage the abolition of sanctions for non-implementation of decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH. With their proposal, the proposers actually show that they are nevertheless aware of the consequences of non-implementation of the decision of the Constitutional Court of BiH, and that, in due time, someone will have to answer for it.

An independent judiciary is a guarantee of the protection of the constitutional and legal order, legality, and human rights and freedoms. The institutions of the Constitutional Court of BiH and the Court of BiH are the foundation of Bosnian society, and SDP BiH strongly condemns any attempt to politicize the work of these institutions and will, together with all state-building forces, stand in the way of any attack on the state of BiH and its constitutional and legal order.

The Constitutional Court of BiH is an institution that in Bosnian society guarantees the constitutional and legal order and protects fundamental human rights and freedoms, and its operation in the complex circumstances of the post-Dayton period has an important role and influence on raising awareness of the importance of realizing the principles of constitutionality and legality.
