SDA warns about neighbours' arming: Urgently unblock NATO path and modernise and equip the Armed Forces of BiH

(Patria) - The intensive arming of Serbia and Croatia and the announcement of the introduction of compulsory military service in these countries are warning messages to which the BiH authorities must react quickly and adequately, it was stated in one of the conclusions adopted at today's session of the SDA Collegium.

"The trend of neighbouring countries rapidly arming, while the Armed Forces of BiH are being systematically and deliberately weakened, is dangerous and unacceptable. Therefore, significant funds must be secured in the next budget for the modernisation and equipping of the Armed Forces of BiH.

At the same time, the current authorities must urgently unblock Bosnia and Herzegovina's NATO path and intensify the path towards the organisation that represents a security umbrella for our country," they said from the SDA.

They emphasise that the paternalistic attitude of Serbia and Croatia, with the assistance of the SNSD/HDZ alliance and the selfless help of the Troika parties, undermines the sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"There is an obvious Serbianisation of the RS entity and Croatianisation of the FBiH in progress. Officials from Serbia and Croatia come to Bosnia and Herzegovina whenever they want and behave as if they are in their own backyard.

The most recent example is the intention of Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković to address and open the Corridor 5C section near Počitelj, with which Croatia has nothing to do.

Furthermore, the entire event is completely Croatianised, with the imposed federal Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić being merely decorative.

It is scandalous that even the Commission for the Technical Acceptance of Works has been Croatianised, with 12 of its 13 members being Croats and only one Bosniak.

This humiliating attitude in projects financed and implemented by the Federal Government and public companies, which were almost entirely completed in the previous term, is a consequence of the Troika's catastrophic move to hand over the entire road construction sector to the HDZ," the conclusions of the SDA Collegium state.

From this party, they also point out that the intention of the Troika and the HDZ to take full political control over Federal Television through the illegal appointment of the Management Board is an attack on media freedom, to which representatives of the international community and organisations dealing with the protection of media freedoms must react.

"Representatives of the Troika, such as the President of the NIP, do not hide that their intention is to appoint cadres to management structures and editorial positions who will implement the policies of this political grouping. Public services belong to all citizens and must work exclusively in their interest, not in the interest of the authorities.

A new Management Board of FTV should be appointed, but exclusively in accordance with the law that prevents any majority political influence on the public service.

After a series of sectors it has ceded to the HDZ, the Troika is apparently planning to hand over control of the Federal Police Administration to this party as well. If they plan to appoint a Croat to the position of FUP director, that does not mean he must be close to the HDZ.

By also ceding that position to the HDZ, the Troika, which includes civic parties that boast of their multiculturalism, is helping Čović establish control over the entire Croatian corps.

If every position that, according to the Constitution and laws, belongs to Croats is to be ceded by the Troika parties to the HDZ, the question rightly arises as to what is the purpose of non-Bosniaks in the SDP or Our Party," was also concluded at today's session of the SDA Collegium.
