SDA: Instead of repeating old lies, SDP must provide answers about borrowing, price increases, deficit, and rigged tenders

(Patria) - SDP continues to insult the intelligence of citizens, as evidenced by their latest reaction in which they try to blame the opposition for the very poor management of processes at the state and federal levels, the SDA announced today.

"The only true sentence they wrote in their statement is that the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina no longer believe in the repetition of old lies. And that is precisely what SDP's statement is full of.

It should be added that citizens do not believe in new lies either, especially when the SDP tries to convince them that they are living well. The facts, which the SDP avoids talking about and from which they want to divert public attention with already chewed-up platitudes, are undeniable," the SDA points out.

With their hasty and unprepared populist decisions, the SDA further states, they have weakened the economy of the Federation and strengthened the economy of the entity of Republika Srpska, thereby directly strengthening Dodik's regime.

"They have no answer to the enormous increase in prices, especially food, which has become more than 50 percent more expensive during their mandate. They boast about the increase in the minimum wage, but they conceal the fact that the price increase has 'eaten up' that increase because the money has lost its value.

They also avoid talking about pensioners. During their mandate, pensions increased by a meager 23 KM, while at the same time, the salaries of the prime minister and ministers increased by 500 KM.

They boast about increased revenues, but at the same time, they have led the Federation's budget, from which they inherited a surplus of 478 million and 800 million KM in liquid assets from Novalić's government, into a deep deficit, which amounted to 180 million KM last year alone.

They boast about reducing external debt, while uncontrollably increasing internal debt, which has increased by more than a billion KM during their mandate.

They avoid talking about the scandals in Autoceste (Highways), whose crime is being investigated by European prosecutors and from which 500 million KM has disappeared. They are trying to cover up the scandal of rigged tenders worth 1.2 million KM in the Ministry of Trade, as well as suspicious tenders won by companies of their relatives.

They boast about obtaining candidate status for the EU, which BiH received during the previous government, but they conceal that the EU path has been blocked since March 2024, that we have lost 214 million KM from the Growth Plan, and that they ultimately adopted that document in accordance with Dodik's dictates.

The government led by the SDP should be held accountable to the citizens for the aforementioned, as well as a number of other bad moves, and not blame the opposition for their own failures," the SDA stated.

Let us remind you, earlier today the SDP accused SDA leader Bakir Izetbegović of trying to shift responsibility for his own political failures in his recent appearances, "urging citizens to believe his words, not the facts that are known to everyone." The SDP also added that, "unlike the SDA's policy, the Trojka insisted on reforms and concrete results from day one."
