SDA: Trojka again making concessions to Dodik, accepting an unconstitutional law

(Patria) - The Trojka, in the process of fulfilling conditions on the European path, again intends to make unacceptable concessions to Milorad Dodik, the SDA announced.

The Trojka's consent to include the RS Law on Technical Regulations in the EU Integration Programme at the request of the RS entity authorities is not only a new concession to Milorad Dodik but also a direct disregard for the rulings of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in September 2023, following a request for a constitutionality review submitted by Šefik Džaferović, declared this legal solution unconstitutional and repealed it.

Despite this fact, the Trojka agrees that the RS Law on Technical Regulations be included in the Integration Programme, with an additional footnote recalling the Constitutional Court's decision and the decision of the RS National Assembly not to apply the rulings of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the territory of the RS entity.

We remind that under the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, failure to implement, execute, or respect the rulings of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina is a criminal offense punishable by imprisonment from six months to five years.

With this action, the Trojka is making the same mistake as with the Reform Programme for the Growth Plan, which the European Commission rejected as unacceptable.

Considering that the Integration Programme is a comprehensive document on which the process of Bosnia and Herzegovina's accession to the European Union is based, it is clear that such concessions by the Trojka cause serious damage to our country's European path and encourage the blackmail policy of the RS entity authorities, the statement said.
