SDA: The "Trojka" has once again capitulated to SNSD and HDZ, imposed Nikšić now opposes imposed decisions by Schmidt

(Patria) - With their latest visit to a meeting in East Sarajevo and agreement to demands concerning amendments to the BiH Election Law, the "Trojka" parties have once again capitulated to coalition partners, according to the SDA's reaction.

"At the same time, they offered a lifeline to Milorad Dodik, who has recently engaged in the most direct anti-Dayton and illegal actions, intensifying secessionist threats and denying the Srebrenica genocide.

The High Representative's decision of March 26, 2024, stipulates that the Law on Amendments to the Election Law of BiH enters into force on a temporary basis, until the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH adopts it in the same form or adopts it with amendments.

The agreement of the "Trojka" parties to bypass this decision and proceed with the adoption of the Election Law without the prior adoption of the amendments made by the High Representative is, in fact, support for Milorad Dodik in his attacks on the OHR and the undermining of the Dayton Peace Agreement.

Such an approach by the "Trojka" was previously announced by SDP President Nermin Nikšić with the claim that there is no "means of coercion for the implementation of laws in the RS entity," the SDA states.

They say Nikšić's statement that he, as the federal prime minister, "opposes the imposition of decisions" is hypocritical, even though he became prime minister precisely through the imposition of decisions by the High Representative and the suspension of the FBiH Constitution to the detriment of the Bosniak people.

"Claims that the adoption of the BiH Election Law unblocks the European path are also untrue, as this is not a condition for starting negotiations with the European Union or for adopting the negotiation framework, but rather it is solely the intention of the "Trojka" to preserve their own positions by fulfilling the wishes of Milorad Dodik and Dragan Čović," the SDA concludes.
