SDA demands ministries of finance, defence, justice, foreign and civil affairs

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - After the session of the SDA Presidency, party leader Bakir Izetbegović addressed journalists, stating that the body welcomed the completion of positive processes, namely the submission of responses to the European Commission Questionnaire, the roaming agreement, and the support of the Federal Parliament for the construction of Block 7 in Tuzla.

“We will work on the proposal of the Law on Veterans, which is very important but within realistic frameworks,” said Izetbegović.

The SDA Presidency condemned the formation of Serbian fascist associations, i.e., the Ravna Gora Chetnik movement, which was disturbing for Bosniaks.

“We call on the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina to prosecute this. We call for such associations to be banned.”

The SDA is disappointed with the attitude of the majority of delegates in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who refused even to discuss the condemnation of the Chetnik gathering in Višegrad. They also condemn the attack on returnee Azrin Hodžić in Prijedor and call on the competent institutions of the RS entity to urgently prosecute and sanction the perpetrator of this attack.

Izetbegović said they were appalled by the information about the fabrication of evidence organized by the consul of the Republic of Croatia, Ivan Bandić, with the aim of creating a false picture of the existence of an armed extremist network in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“Also, we call on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina to send a demarche to the Government of the Republic of Croatia and request an official position of that country on the issue of the illegal activities of its consul in Tuzla,” said SDA President Bakir Izetbegović.

Speaking about the process of forming the government, Izetbegović said that he demands from the SDA negotiating team that everything be completed by March 24, so that the next session of the party's Presidency can be held on Monday, March 25. In the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the SDA demands the Ministry of Finance and Treasury, Defence, Justice, Civil Affairs, and Foreign Affairs.

“The SDA and partner parties should take over three Bosniak positions and one position from the Others in the Council of Ministers. The order of priority for the selection of ministries for the SDA is the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Justice, and the Ministry of Civil Affairs. The issue of activating the MAP through the adoption of the Annual National Plan should be treated as a technical matter to be resolved at the level of the competent ministry, because all necessary laws, strategies, and decisions were previously adopted,” Izetbegović points out.

He said that before the formation of the FBiH Government, the issue of outvoting must be resolved, and he emphasized that this must not happen again.
