SDA Srebrenica after Fejzić's re-dismissal: Serb majority once again showed there is no place for Bosniaks

(Patria) - After the Bijeljina District Court ordered Hamdija Fejzić to be reinstated as Deputy Mayor of Srebrenica, he was dismissed again today. This happened at a thematic session of the Municipal Assembly.

"The Municipal Board of SDA Srebrenica most strongly condemns the renewed 'training of rigor' and demonstration of strength and power in persecuting Bosniak representatives in Srebrenica by the current mayor and his majority in the Municipal Assembly of Srebrenica," reacted the Municipal Board of SDA Srebrenica.

They remind that the District Court in Bijeljina annulled the decision of the Municipal Assembly made in November 2023, by which Fejzić was dismissed from the position of Deputy Mayor.

"Although the District Court in Bijeljina annulled the previous illegal decision of the Municipal Assembly of Srebrenica on dismissal and ordered that Fejzić be reinstated as Deputy Mayor, this did not happen.

On the contrary, with today's decision to dismiss Fejzić again from the position of Deputy Mayor at a thematic session of the Municipal Assembly of Srebrenica, the Serb majority once again showed that there is no place for Bosniaks in the local community, and that court decisions are not respected," stated SDA.

They add that the price of the arrogant and illegal decisions of the Serb parliamentary majority will only come due, as taxpayers will pay the price for the bad decisions of the even worse Serb authorities in Srebrenica.

"We call on the international community to stop its hypocritical policy towards the victims of genocide. While they are declaratively with the victims of genocide, on the ground they have left them at the mercy of those who made decisions about Bosniaks in July 1995," announced the Municipal Board of SDA Srebrenica.
