SDA: Carriers' protests are a consequence of the indolence and incompetence of the "Trojka" minister Forto

(Patria) - Announced protests and blockades by carriers in Bosnia and Herzegovina are a direct consequence of the incompetence and incredible indolence of the current authorities, the SDA announced.

"The greatest responsibility lies with the "Trojka" Minister of Communications and Transport Edin Forto, who has been ignoring the pleas of the sector that represents the lifeblood of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian economy for months. Instead of solving problems, Forto is engaged in manipulation, shifting responsibility, and initiating meaningless working groups.

Due to the indolence and incompetence of the current authorities, thousands of drivers and transport companies are exposed to discrimination in the European Union market, and time and money are lost at the borders due to slow procedures. Instead of protecting domestic carriers and facilitating their business, the "Trojka" and its minister have turned their backs on a sector that employs tens of thousands of people and carries a huge part of Bosnia and Herzegovina's exports.

If Minister Forto is not capable of doing the job he is paid for, then he should resign and allow someone who knows and wants to defend the interests of the state and citizens to take over that responsible duty," the SDA emphasizes.

An urgent reaction is expected from the Council of Ministers of BiH, and especially from the relevant ministries responsible for resolving this issue.

"The continuation of such an attitude towards the transport sector will have severe consequences for the economy and the supply of the population, and thus for the stability of the state," the SDA statement adds.
