SDA: Extension of Mehmedagić's detention is further confirmation of bias and political influence on BiH judiciary

(Patria) - The decision of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina to extend the detention measures for former OSA BiH director Osman Mehmedagić confirms that the BiH judiciary acts on political orders, not based on law and evidence, according to the SDA.

"A judiciary that continuously turns a blind eye to the dismantling of the constitutional and legal order of Bosnia and Herzegovina and cowardly retreats before deniers of genocide and lawbreakers, is now lashing out at patriots who defended the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina from aggression, built its institutions, and protected them in the post-war period.

While detention is being imposed on Mehmedagić for the second time to justify an arrest made without valid evidence, this same judiciary allows war criminals, accused and convicted, to escape, refuses to prosecute officials who undermine the Constitution, disregard decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH, violate laws, and at the same time threaten those who defend the state with politically fabricated processes.

The fact that such a judiciary is merely a tool in the hands of secessionist policies is also evidenced by the threat from the President of the National Assembly of RS, Nenad Stevandić, that Ramiz Salkić 'will end up like Mehmedagić and Debevec'.

It is completely clear that Mehmedagić, as the director of OSA, was a thorn in the side of followers of the War Crimes Perpetrators policy for years, which they themselves confirm with their statements, and that the new process initiated against him is merely a continuation of the crackdown on Bosnian-Herzegovinian patriots who have proven their capability and willingness to defend Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The BiH judiciary must be reformed and must not be at the service of any policies or individuals, which is clearly the case today," the SDA stated.
