SDA calls on Konaković to resign as Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The SDA Sarajevo Cantonal Board demands that Elmedin Konaković, given his decision to leave the SDA, also resign from his position as Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton. Voters gave their trust and mandate in the 2014 elections to the Party of Democratic Action, not Elmedin Konaković. If he is principled at all, this should not be a problem for him, as he himself said he is against the party appointment of cadres, the SDA announced.

- We call on him to provide evidence for the accusations he has easily made in the media, both to the competent authorities and to the public. He should have done this before, as it was his obligation as the Prime Minister of the cantonal government. He should not have waited and strategized. If he does not do this urgently, he will bear responsibility for baseless slander and appropriate lawsuits will be filed against him.

From everything that has happened so far in the work of Konaković's government, it can be concluded that crises related to solving citizens' problems were artificially created to present Konaković as a savior to the public, and he had been preparing for a long time to leave the SDA and form his own party.

Elmedin Konaković's actions represent a selfish move by an overambitious and ungrateful person whose personal promotion is more important than the interests and stability of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its capital city.

Many more significant figures have left the SDA for similar selfish reasons, but they did not harm it. It will be the same this time. The SDA will continue to remain strong because the country and the people need it, and Konaković, like his predecessors, will face political marginalization - claims the SDA.
