SDA calls on Forto and Konaković to resign

(Patria) - The Cantonal Board of SDA has called on the Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton Edin Forto and the Speaker of the KS Assembly Elmedin Konaković to resign due to the "Zornić" and "Bogunić" cases.

"The fact that a person convicted of the most serious war crimes was appointed director of a public company by Forto's government has caused enormous damage not only to the reputation of the KS institutions but also to the reputation of the city of Sarajevo, and pain to the victims' families. The most responsible people of this ruling group must bear full responsibility for this, and the matter should not be covered up through fictitious dismissals in some unimportant party commissions," the KO SDA statement reads.

As they claim, the second reason why, according to SDA, Konaković and Forto have lost all credibility is the testimony of their Minister of Education Zineta Bogunić, which listed a whole series of illegal and corrupt activities by the Forto-Konaković duo. Parts of this testimony also contain elements of criminal offenses, such as an attempted embezzlement of 500,000 KM of public money and the violation of the constitutional order and laws of the KS.
