(Patria) - The Party of Democratic Action (SDA) announced that it supports the requests for an increase in funds in the state budget for the equipping and modernization of the Armed Forces of BiH, which are in line with the growth of public revenues.
"The current financial situation in the country allows for the allocation of more significant funds for these purposes, and ultimately, efforts should be made to constantly allocate 2 percent of the annual GDP for the equipping and functioning of the Armed Forces of BiH, which is the NATO standard.
The alleged concern of the state Minister of Finance, Srđan Amidžić (SNSD), who preemptively rejects the request for a budget increase, asking whether Bosnia and Herzegovina is preparing to attack NATO or Serbia, is cynical.
Bosnia and Herzegovina has never attacked anyone, but it was attacked precisely by those who have been intensively arming themselves in recent years, which causes concern not only in our country and the region, but also in Europe.
Given the constant armament of neighboring countries, which disrupts the balance that Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and Croatia committed to by signing Annex 1-B of the Dayton Peace Agreement, strengthening the Armed Forces of BiH is imposed as an imperative," stated the SDA.
