SDA: Electricity price increase is a consequence of the Trojka's incompetence and subservient attitude towards HDZ

(Patria) - The decision to increase electricity prices for Elektroprivreda BiH users is a direct consequence of the Trojka's subservient attitude towards HDZ BiH and their incompetence, which they intend to compensate for with a new blow to citizens' pockets, according to a reaction from SDA.

"After the Trojka handed over full control of FERK to HDZ, the new composition of this institution approved the earlier request of the Elektroprivreda BiH management to compensate for its multi-million dollar business losses by increasing electricity prices for households and the economy. The previous composition of FERK, in which HDZ did not have control and which did not include Trojka's personnel, rejected this unreasonable request.

It is indicative that prices will only be increased for Elektroprivreda BiH users, while electricity prices will remain the same for Elektroprivreda HZHB users. In practice, this means that mostly Bosniaks will pay for more expensive electricity, but also finance public RTV services, given that Elektroprivreda HZHB users do not have this obligation.

Given the announcements from the management of Elektroprivreda BiH that further price increases are certain, it is clear that the Trojka's personnel lack the knowledge, ability, or will to manage the system and act in the interest of the citizens, and that the resignations of the management of this public company and all others responsible for the catastrophic business results and the constant additional financial burden on citizens are necessary," conclude SDA.
