SDA: By supporting Amidžić, the 'Trojka' handed over the BiH financial sector to Dodik's control

(Patria) - The SDA Collegium condemned the Trojka's decision to support the election of the new SNSD Minister of Finance and Treasury of BiH (Srđan Amidžić), after they previously supported the election of the SNSD director of the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH, thereby handing over the control of the financial sector of Bosnia and Herzegovina to that party.

In this way, the possibility has been opened for citizens of the FBiH to finance budget deficits in the RS entity, the SDA announced.

"Justifying the election of the SNSD Minister of Finance and Treasury of BiH by supporting the set of so-called 'European laws' in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH proves the absence of any reasonable basis in the Trojka's new concession to Milorad Dodik.

Not only must these laws pass the parliamentary procedure in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH as well, where they have already been rejected by the votes of SNSD delegates, but their content does not meet the needs for improving the judicial system of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the requirements set by the European Union for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This is confirmed by the reactions of the Delegation of the European Union to BiH, the OHR, and the OSCE, and foreign embassies from June this year to the content of the Law on the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of BiH, which was adopted in draft form by the Council of Ministers of BiH, as well as the content of the adopted Bill on Amendments to the Law on the HJPC of BiH.

Namely, Article 26 of the adopted Bill states that 'within one year of the entry into force of this law, the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH shall adopt the Law on the HJPC, which will be harmonized with EU standards, as provided for in the European Commission's Opinion on BiH's application for EU membership'.

The text of the proposed Law on the HJPC itself states that it does not meet EU standards and does not fulfill Bosnia and Herzegovina's obligation from the European Commission's Opinion.

The decision of the Trojka representatives to support the election of the new SNSD Minister of Finance and Treasury of BiH is in contradiction with previously publicly proclaimed principles, according to which the election of a minister is unacceptable if the entire set of 'European laws', which includes the Law on Courts of BiH and the Law on Prevention of Conflict of Interest in BiH Institutions, is not adopted simultaneously.

Considering that these laws have not even been considered, it is clear that the Trojka has once again violated its promises and advocated principles," the SDA stated.
