SDA has started publicly abusing the Islamic Community of BiH: Party rally in Adil-beg's mosque

The Party of Democratic Action (SDA) has, during the election campaign, publicly, without any hesitation, started abusing even mosques in Bosnia and Herzegovina, writes the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

Although the Rijaset of the Islamic Community in BiH adopted a decision in 2002 prohibiting the use of Islamic Community premises for the promotion of any political party, the SDA does not respect such decisions.

The pre-election rally of the SDA, Municipal Board Vogošća, will be held tomorrow in Adil-beg's mosque in Kobilja Glava, and during the last two Friday prayers, promotional material of this party was distributed in front of several Sarajevo mosques.

We remind you that the Rijaset of the Islamic Community in BiH issued a statement on September 12 this year, stating that the Islamic Community adopted a Decision in 2002 which specified that the role of the Islamic Community is not to promote any political party, and holders of religious authority within the Islamic Community cannot hold any political office.

Furthermore, the statement indicated that the premises of the Islamic Community and public religious gatherings cannot be used for the promotion of any political party, and in religious addresses to Muslims, especially from the minbar during Friday prayers, imams cannot name any party or political figure, either positively or negatively.

Journalists from Patria could not obtain any comment from the Islamic Community of BiH regarding tomorrow's SDA rally in Adil-beg's mosque.

Neither did the SDA spokesperson Eldar Selmanović provide any comment regarding this controversial rally.

Sources close to this party warn that the SDA's policy in Vogošća is completely controlled by Asim Sarajlić, the party's vice-president, and given his political arrogance, it is not surprising that mosques are used and abused in such a way for the sake of gaining votes. In addition to all this, the Cantonal Board of the SDA, headed by Denis Zvizdić, an intimate of Bakir Izetbegović, is behind the organization of the rally, so it is not surprising that after distributing flyers around mosques, they decided this time to enter a religious facility and hold a party rally there, which has never happened before, writes NAP.
