SDA: General Elections in 2022 Will Be Held

(Patria) - After SNSD leader Milorad Dodik presented the thesis of a possible boycott of the 2022 General Elections on Sunday, the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) also responded, emphasizing that Dodik's threats will not prevent the elections from being held.

As emphasized by the SDA, Milorad Dodik's threats to prevent the holding of the next General Elections solely show his fear of the electoral will of dissatisfied citizens in the RS entity and the increasingly certain loss of power.

"General Elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina must be held in October 2022. A political group that has received the support of only one-tenth of the total number of registered voters cannot and will not deny the vast majority of citizens their democratic rights," stated the SDA.

Also, this party stated that if the SNSD or any other political party does not wish to participate in the General Elections, then that will be their choice, which no one can deny them.

"This will certainly not prevent other parties from participating in the General Elections, and it will especially not prevent citizens from exercising their fundamental political right granted to them by the Dayton Peace Agreement, the Election Law of BiH, and a number of other valid regulations," the SDA's statement concluded.
