SDA: International community's refusal to discuss Srebrenica only benefits genocide deniers

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - SDA considers disappointing the message sent by the Quint ambassadors, the EU Delegation and the OSCE to the surviving victims of the Srebrenica genocide, refusing to discuss the obvious manipulations in the electoral process, the party announced today. 

"The refusal of representatives of the international community to respond to the invitation of eight pro-Bosniak parties (SDA, DF, SDP, SBB, NS, NIP, PDA and SBiH) to discuss the situation following the election boycott in Srebrenica can only benefit genocide deniers who achieved victory through electoral manipulation.

The „neutrality“ of the international community, which Bosniaks have experienced all too well during the aggression against BiH, encourages retrograde policies, and our friends in Europe and the world should finally become aware of this.

Srebrenica, as a city and area where genocide was committed, deserves special attention from everyone, and there must be no „neutrality“ here. After being killed, expelled, and displaced around the world, Bosniaks are now being prevented from voting in their own city through administrative obstacles and electoral manipulations. Until the issue of postal and absentee voting is thoroughly resolved, and every person from Srebrenica is enabled to vote, elections in this city cannot be considered legitimate. SDA will continue to support the initiative „My Address: Srebrenica“ in the fight for equal rights for all citizens of Srebrenica", the SDA announced.
