SDA: Continuation of aggression from Serbia, all domestic and international factors must react

(Patria) - The decision of the National Assembly of the RS to amend the Law on the Flag, Coat of Arms and Anthem in this BiH entity, allowing the use of national symbols of Serbia in addition to entity symbols, is a new blow to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the SDA announced.

"This is one in a series of moves aimed at implementing the 'Declaration of the All-Serbian Assembly' from June this year and continuing the creeping aggression of Serbia against Bosnia and Herzegovina, through the creation of the so-called 'Serbian world'.

Therefore, all domestic and international factors must react decisively.

The SDA will, through the Club of Bosniaks in the Council of Peoples of the RS, initiate the protection of vital national interest and file a veto. If the Constitutional Court of the RS, as in previous cases, rejects such a request, an appeal will follow to the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which declared the symbols now being reintroduced as discriminatory for non-Serb citizens back in 2006.

Given that yesterday's decision knowingly violates and circumvents the decision of the Constitutional Court of BiH, we call on the BiH Prosecutor's Office to initiate criminal proceedings against the responsible persons in the leadership of the RS National Assembly.

A reaction is also necessary from the Peace Implementation Council, and especially from the High Representative, who should finally take concrete steps mandated by his office," the statement from the Party of Democratic Action reads.
