SDA: International community equates responsibility instead of identifying culprits

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Party of Democratic Action (SDA) is deeply disappointed with the attitude of the international community representatives towards the open attempt to undermine the Dayton Peace Agreement, which was initiated by the adoption of the latest conclusions in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska. 

Mild reactions in which "all leaders are called for dialogue", to "avoid inflammatory rhetoric and build trust" show an incredible lack of readiness to precisely identify the problem and confront it, the SDA announced.

The SDA points out that such positions equate the responsibility of those who block the work of institutions and attack the constitutional and legal order of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with those who fight for functional institutions and oppose unconstitutional actions.

At the same time, they warn that relativizing the scope and causes of the crisis can only further encourage actors who attack stability and peace. 

"If it is still not clear to the representatives of the international community who is causing problems in Bosnia and Herzegovina, we will remind them that behind the threats of secession of the entity of Republika Srpska, which are also contained in the official documents of SNSD, and the direct undermining of the Dayton Peace Agreement by attempting unconstitutional usurpation of state competencies, with an open threat of the use of force, stands one man – Milorad Dodik and his party", the statement reads. 

As further stated, in circumstances where Dodik's blockades threaten the peace, lives, and property of citizens, "the latest statements by the Head of the OSCE Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kathleen Kavalec, about the 'inability of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina to agree on the engagement of the logistics of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina', not only equate responsibility and deceive the public, but deeply insult the intelligence of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who are suffering the consequences of Dodik's brazen blockades".

The SDA specifies that the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina are not prevented from "helping people in need because 'there was no agreement in the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina', but because their engagement has been prevented by Milorad Dodik on several occasions". 

"It is high time for the representatives of the international community to stop running away from the unpleasant truth by equating responsibilities. Instead, they are obliged to clearly and unequivocally identify the culprits for the destabilization of the situation, and in accordance with the obligations arising from the Dayton Peace Agreement, react decisively. Otherwise, they will be accomplices in dragging Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the entire region, into a dangerous and completely uncertain development of events", the statement reads.
