SDA: Coalition agreement with SNSD and non-submission of the Reform Program confirm that the 'Troika' has abandoned the NATO path

(Patria) - The claim by SDP president Nermin Nikšić that the "previous majority led by SDA pushed BiH back from the path to NATO" is a desperate attempt to divert attention from the fact that the "Troika", in exchange for entering power and ministerial positions for the leaders of these parties, agreed to halt Bosnia and Herzegovina's NATO path.

This was stated in a reaction from the SDA.

"Thanks to SDA's insistence that after the General Elections in 2018, power should not be formed until SNSD agrees to send the Reform Program, Bosnia and Herzegovina is today a participant in the NATO Membership Action Plan (MAP). Therefore - for membership!

This status can be easily verified on the NATO website, just as the fact that the "Troika" agreed to sign a coalition agreement with SNSD and HDZ, in which the word NATO is not mentioned at all, can be easily verified," the statement said.

It was added that the "Troika" confirmed its abandonment of Bosnia and Herzegovina's NATO path in exchange for entering power by suspending the submission of the Reform Program to the Alliance's headquarters, given that they have not even prepared and attempted to adopt this document for the past and current year.

"Instead of insulting the intelligence of citizens with claims that they are 'doing everything to return the country to the NATO path' and constantly disseminating falsehoods to the public, Nikšić and his partners from the 'Troika' should stop acting on the dictates of SNSD and HDZ, and at least try to fulfill the legal obligations related to Bosnia and Herzegovina's path to membership in the Alliance, which was paved during the SDA's tenure," the SDA concluded.
