SDA and SBB will have a majority in the Sarajevo City Council

The 30-day deadline stipulated by the Election Law of BiH has begun, within which the City Council of Sarajevo must be formed, writes Patria.

Future city council members will be elected by secret ballot in the councils of the four city municipalities (Centar, Novo Sarajevo, Stari Grad, and Novi Grad), with seven members coming from each municipality.

SDA and SBB will have a majority in the City Council, with support from council members from smaller parties as well as some independent ones.

The Left has lost the chance to form a majority, following the withdrawal of three council members from the Democratic Front in Centar, and then two in Novo Sarajevo from their parent party, and their support for the parliamentary majority.
