SDA and DF wanted Šarović: Nikšić is the chairman of the Joint Commission for Oversight of OSA

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Members of the Joint Commission of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH for Oversight of the Intelligence-Security Agency (OSA) of BiH today elected the chairman of this parliamentary body, and in the upcoming period, Nermin Nikšić will perform this function.

We remind you that, in accordance with the Law on OSA of BiH, only a parliamentarian from an opposition party can be elected to the position of chairman. In the Joint Commission for Oversight of the work of OSA of BiH, there are only two members from the opposition, namely Mirko Šarović (SDS) and Nermin Nikšić (SDP). SDA and DF were in favor of Šarović, but the remaining members voted for Nikšić.

Members of this commission are Zlatan Begić (DF), Munib Jusufović (SBB), Predrag Kožul (HDZ), Sredoje Nović (SNSD), Marina Pendješ (HDZ), Asim Sarajlić (SDA), Safet Softić (SDA), Bariša Čolak (HDZ), Mirko Šarović (SDS), Nenad Stevandić (United Srpska) and Nikola Špirić (SNSD).

The president of SDP and a representative in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Nermin Nikšić, had previously expressed his desire to be appointed chairman of this commission.
