SDA: Dodik fears judiciary and effective fight against corruption

SDA considers the agreement between Milorad Dodik and Dragan Čović on weakening the Constitutional Court of BiH unacceptable, and will reject any proposal for a Law on the Constitutional Court that undermines its jurisdiction, decision-making process, and composition, the SDA announced, reports Patria.

We will also stop this desperate attempt by Milorad Dodik to shake the constitutional order and cause a crisis that will halt our country's European path, driven by his growing fear of the judicial institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The real problem for Milorad Dodik is not the Constitutional Court of BiH; his fear relates to the creation of an effective state-level judiciary that will genuinely and decisively fight corruption. Therefore, by questioning and undermining judicial institutions, he attempts to generate artificial crises to conceal crime and corruption within his own ranks.

Corruption is the most dangerous threat to the security, stability, and prosperity of this country and its citizens. This is what Milorad Dodik constantly tries to distract the domestic public from.

The fight against corruption is one of the key priorities to which BiH has committed itself in the Reform Agenda, as well as in the "Declaration of Commitment to Reforms within the EU Accession Process" signed by the leaders of 14 parliamentary political parties.

For this reason, SDA, together with its partners at the state level, will insist on a detailed analysis of the performance of judicial institutions in the fight against corruption, especially regarding the prosecution of major corruption affairs at all levels of government.

SDA will only be a partner to those who genuinely wish to review the results of the work of judicial institutions with the aim of improving their effectiveness in the fight against corruption that erodes the foundations of society and the state.
