SDA: Čović, is the commemoration of so-called Herceg-Bosna a European value you advocate for?

The commemoration of the anniversary by glorifying the so-called Croatian Republic of Herceg-Bosna is a shameful anti-civilizational act. This act glorifies mass crimes and ethnic cleansing of Bosniaks and Serbs from the area of that imaginary para-state entity. At the same time, it represents a mockery of the victims, the Party of Democratic Action announced.

- The para-entity Herceg-Bosna is the product of a joint criminal enterprise whose goal was the division of BiH, within which there was no place for non-Croats. Besides Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bosniaks and Serbs, that entity caused irreparable damage to the Croatian people as well, who emerged from the war period disgraced and populationally decimated.

It has been designated as a joint criminal enterprise in all historical documents and finally in the first-instance verdict of the Hague Tribunal, handed down to its leadership, which was sentenced to 111 years in prison by the first-instance verdict.

The messages from yesterday's commemoration that mass graves and mass crimes were not left behind by that entity sound pathetic. The truth, unfortunately, is quite the opposite. Ahmići, Heliodrom, Dretelj, Vranica, and disenfranchised and expelled Bosniaks from Stolac, Čapljina, parts of Mostar, Prozor, Ljubuški, parts of Central Bosnia, Žepče, and parts of Posavina, and other execution sites, as well as the destruction of the symbol of Mostar, the Old Bridge, bear witness to this.
