Schmidt Gathers Ambassadors in Sarajevo

(Patria) - Ambassadors of European and other countries in BiH have arrived at the Office of the High Representative (OHR) in Sarajevo, where they will meet with High Representative Christian Schmidt.

The topic of the meeting should be the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially in the context of decisions to be made by the National Assembly of Republika Srpska (NSRS) at today's session.

According to announcements, the NSRS plans to ban the work and presence of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and the jurisdiction of the Court and Prosecutor's Office of BiH on the territory of the RS entity.

They also intend to establish an entity High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (VSTV), as well as amend the criminal code to punish all those who do not wish to leave BiH institutions and come from the RS.

Schmidt is expected to react immediately to the adoption of such laws and challenge them.

Extraordinary Meeting at BiH Presidency Tomorrow, Schmidt, Ambassadors, EUFOR and NATO Staff Commanders Invited

(Patria) - Member of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović has called an extraordinary meeting for tomorrow morning at the BiH Presidency building, to which numerous foreign officials have been invited. The BiH Presidency announced that the meeting will be held starting at 11 AM

The meeting at the OHR comes a day before the meeting to be held tomorrow at the BiH Presidency building, where ambassadors and Schmidt will meet with member of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović.
