Schmidt addresses the public and imposes the Election Law

(Patria) - High Representative Christian Schmidt will give a statement to the media today at 4:30 PM, announced by the Office of the High Representative in BiH.

This means Schmidt has made a decision and will adopt a decision on amendments to the Election Law of BiH. He has reportedly already signed the decision.

The amendments will mainly concern electoral integrity.

We recall that Istraga previously reported that experts from the OHR have also prepared a provision granting the Central Election Commission of BiH the authority to review electoral units and the number of mandates allocated to each electoral unit every four years.

The current Election Law stipulates that the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, the Parliament of FBiH, and the NSRS can review the number of mandates from electoral units every four years. OHR experts proposed that, if the parliaments fail to do so, the CEC should do it.
