Schmidt with Krišto: Put citizens' interests above daily politics

(Patria) - High Representative Christian Schmidt met today with the Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Borjana Krišto, and they discussed the current political situation and reform priorities that are key to the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the European Union.

The High Representative emphasized the responsibility of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian authorities to seize the opportune moment and set the direction for this country within the framework of EU integration, along with steps towards long-term stability and full respect for the Dayton Peace Agreement. He stressed that it is the right time to act responsibly and ensure citizens of BiH a secure path towards integration, stability, and prosperity.

"We must prioritize dialogue, maturity, and responsibility, putting the interests of citizens above daily politics," said the High Representative.

"Achieving BiH's aspirations regarding European integration requires functional institutions, unconditional commitment to the rule of law, and collective dedication to the common good."
