Schmidt with EUFOR delegation on political and security environment in BiH

(Patria) - High Representative Christian Schmidt held a meeting today in Sarajevo with an EUFOR delegation.

The meeting was attended by the Director-General of the EU Military Staff, Lieutenant General Michiel van der Laan, EUFOR Operational Commander, Lieutenant General Hubert Cottereau, and EUFOR Commander, Major General Laszlo Stizc.

The OHR commented on this occasion on its X account, stating that discussions were held on the political and security environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"The High Representative emphasized the importance of close cooperation between the OHR and EUFOR as key and complementary instruments in implementing the Dayton Peace Agreement.

EUFOR-Althea must retain its executive mandate and capacity to deploy troops," the OHR stated.
