Schmidt: BiH Armed Forces are a symbol of unity, cooperation on the path to a prosperous future

(Patria) - High Representative Christian Schmidt congratulated the BiH Ministry of Defence and members of the BiH Armed Forces on the occasion of the 18th anniversary of the establishment of the BiH AF.

"This extremely significant anniversary illustrates BiH's extraordinary journey from a difficult post-war period to a stable and peaceful country on the path to a prosperous future within the Euro-Atlantic family.

The BiH AF represent one of the most successful examples of reforms led by domestic forces. Their development into professional, capable, and reliable forces speaks volumes about their commitment and dedication.

Members of the BiH AF have proven themselves multiple times in international peacekeeping missions and military exercises, as well as in providing assistance during natural disasters in BiH and abroad.

The BiH Armed Forces are a symbol of unity, cooperation, and the efforts invested towards a common future in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and their sustainable financing is necessary," said the High Representative.
