Schmidt again concerned, inflammatory rhetoric and incidents bring back the darkness of war

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - High Representative Christian Schmidt condemns the increasingly frequent use of inflammatory rhetoric and the increase in the number of incidents that have occurred over the past few days in various parts of BiH, all of which leads to the destabilization of peace and security.

“Aggressive rhetoric and moves, regardless of who they come from, that call for violence or bring back dark images from the war, cause public concern throughout the country and represent unacceptable behavior. All in BiH, regardless of religious, cultural or national affiliation, have the right to security in every part of their country.

Elected authorities in every entity and every canton have a duty to ensure that this is the case and that police authorities investigate every incident that causes unrest among the population, as happened due to incidents last week.

 The High Representative wishes to thank responsible officials, security forces and judicial authorities who are working to fulfill this obligation.
