(Patria) - High Representative in BiH Christian Schmidt stated that the Peace Implementation Council Steering Board met today at the OHR to discuss current political developments related to the court proceedings against Milorad Dodik and Miloš Lukić.
“The members of the Steering Board welcomed the recent statement by the OSCE Mission and once again called on everyone to refrain from pressure and threats and to respect the independence of the BiH judiciary.
The members of the Steering Board once again confirmed their unequivocal commitment to the territorial integrity of BiH as a single and sovereign state consisting of two entities and the Brčko District.
My message to all citizens of BiH: I understand that many of you are genuinely concerned about recent events. Rest assured that the international community remains awake and vigilant. The Dayton order and state institutions continue to have protection and must be respected.
The international community remains firmly committed to peace and stability in BiH and this region.
There are no negotiations about BiH. BiH will continue to move forward on the EU path.
I know that the citizens of this country understand very well and are committed to this country's path towards EU institutions, and on this path, both citizens and institutions will have assistance,” said Schmidt.
