
(Patria) - The United Nations Security Council will hold its regular semi-annual debate on the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina today.
Along with the High Representative for BiH Christian Schmidt, the session will also be attended by Željka Cvijanović, the Chairwoman of the Presidency of BiH. As always, opposing views of politicians from the Federation of BiH and Republika Srpska ahead of today's Council session.
In his report sent ahead of the UN Security Council session, Schmidt stated that the reporting period was marked by a significant increase in tensions, which undoubtedly represents the current crisis in our country.
Both the High Representative and Cvijanović are expected to address the session, with Cvijanović stating that she will not pretend to speak on behalf of the entire BiH at the session, which has sparked additional reactions.
In addition to the semi-annual report of the OHR, a discussion is also expected on the mandate of the EUFOR mission "Althea", which expires on November 1.
