SCENARIO FOR MOSTAR New mayor, adjournment or rotation agreement?

MOSTAR, (Patria) – Talks between the Coalition for Mostar and other political entities have been ongoing since early morning. Although SDP BiH and Naša stranka as BH Blok were also invited, they did not respond, and the GO SDP BiH Mostar clearly stated that they would sit down at the table once the Coalition provides 15 signatures for the mayoral candidate Zlatko Guzin and a number of other conditions. A meeting was held with the First Mostar Party, which has two councilors in the City Council.

Although the continuation of the session is scheduled for 3:30 PM today, and the remaining candidates in the race are HDZ BiH's Mario Kordić and Coalition for Mostar's Zlatko Guzin, there is a high probability that today's continuation will also be adjourned.

The latest information from Mostar is that a proposal for all political entities participating in the City Council is on the table for the rotation of the mayor.

It is expected that potentially three candidates would alternate in that position during the term. Kordić, Guzin, and BH Blok candidates Irma Baralija or Arman Zalihić. We remind you that at the continuation of the session on Wednesday, Baralija received two votes, and Zalihić received none because the councilors of SDP BiH and PMP left the session.

There is a high probability that HDZ BiH will reject such a proposal, but it is also possible that this will be a reason for adjourning the session for further harmonization.

In the City Council, HDZ BiH has 13 councilors, Coalition for Mostar 11, HRS 3, Stay Here 1, BH Blok 5, PMP 2.
