SBiH: Those negotiating under these conditions must explain the direction of the negotiations

(Patria) - The Party for Bosnia and Herzegovina, regarding current events, stated that BiH needs electoral law reform to implement the rulings of the European Court of Human Rights and improve the electoral process itself, and prevent vote rigging and manipulation of results.

They emphasize that "any negotiation while state institutions and the BiH entity of the Federation of BiH are blocked represents consent to blackmail and retreat in the face of nationalist and separatist policies".

"Those who have accepted negotiations under such conditions must explain to the public the direction of the negotiations," the SBiH emphasized.

They warn that a particular danger is "the attempt to seize state property by appeasing Milorad Dodik, who is on the US black list and whose sanctioning is seriously discussed in the institutions of the European Union and some of its member states".

They ask if this means Dodik will be given property, or a part of it, if he agrees to changes to the Election Law that suit HDZ and the anti-European demand for legitimate representation?

"It is obvious that any development of negotiations goes in the direction of losing state property and reducing civic democracy. Such an outcome of negotiations would be a triumph of anti-European policies and a continuation of the destabilization of the entire region. It would be a clear sign that Europe has abandoned its democratic principles and has accepted and supported apartheid," it was stated.

In conclusion, they state that "Bosnia and Herzegovina needs a strong turn and reforms that will bring the country closer to the standards of the European Union, which is built on democratic principles and the protection of individuals, not collectives".
