SBB enters government at all levels: Izetbegović and Radončić sign coalition agreement

A meeting of delegations from SDA and SBB, led by party presidents Bakir Izetbegović and Fahrudin Radončić, was held at the Presidency of BiH building, reports Patria news agency.

The two party leaders signed a coalition agreement on joint action at all levels of government in BiH. Izetbegović told reporters that the Federation of BiH will get a new government within the next fifteen days, while the cantonal and state levels will be formed within the next two months.

Izetbegović announced that he is confident the new coalition will bring new reforms to BiH.

Radončić said that SBB is not entering government for the sake of positions, but to support progress in BiH.

Even regarding the distribution of ministerial positions that could go to SBB now that it is part of the government, Radončić did not want to comment much, stating that everything will be discussed with coalition partners.

Radončić said he does not expect such rapid progress for the country, because BiH is in a deep crisis, but he is confident that the new coalition can initiate positive processes.

- In fifteen days, we have shown that with joint efforts, this country can indeed pass positive laws much faster - Radončić said. He added that SBB is not lobbying for SNSD to enter the government, and that it has good cooperation with SDS.

Responding to journalists' questions, Izetbegović said that he and Radončić did not negotiate the coalition between SDA and SBB, but rather spent all their time agreeing on how and in what way to accelerate reforms in the country.

Izetbegović and Radončić have held three meetings so far, during which they discussed SBB's entry into the government.
