SBB now only seeks Lagumdžija's dismissal, abandoned Osmić's

The session of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament has begun, and right at the start, Denis Bećirović, an SDP MP, stated that the mobilization of all resources is most important at this moment given the floods that have engulfed BiH. He made this statement within the scope of the debate on the agenda, concerning the initiative for the reconstruction of the Council of Ministers, reports the correspondent of the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

- We cannot finish this job before the elections, and I believe that no one's goal is to decapitate the executive and legislative authorities. In case of the dismissal of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, it will not only be that dismissal, but the resignation of other SDP cadres will follow. Do we want to enter that situation? I understand our colleagues from SBB, but the circumstances have now changed. I propose that SBB withdraws these agenda items - said Bećirović, requesting a 15-minute break and inviting SBB to reconsider.

After the break, Mirsad Đugum, an SBB MP, stated that based on the SDP's request, he wishes to present conclusions.

- The donor conference is the greatest responsibility of the Council of Ministers, and if anyone thinks that is a reason not to proceed with dismissals, that is not true. The warnings that if one SDP minister is dismissed, all others will leave their positions are irresponsible towards the voters, and we will not agree to that; everyone will vote according to their conscience - said Đugum.

He added that it is not right to personalize politics.

- Our proposal is to remove item three from the agenda, i.e., Minister Osmić's dismissal should be removed, while Lagumdžija's dismissal remains on the agenda - said Đugum.

Saša Magazinović, an SDP MP, stated that SBB has been acting unprincipled even before.

- This is a pre-election item and has nothing to do with the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Let's get to work now - said Magazinović.

We remind you that SBB initiated the reconstruction of the Council of Ministers of BiH, specifically the dismissal of Minister of Foreign Affairs Zlatko Lagumdžija, with the explanation that the people of BiH actually demanded Lagumdžija's dismissal. And they requested Zekerijah Osmić's dismissal because he did not react to the fact that the anniversary of the Army of Republika Srpska was marked in an inappropriate manner, and he even attended the ceremony.

As previously announced, SDA will support Lagumdžija's dismissal, but not Osmić's, while SNSD will be against the dismissal. SDS will vote for the dismissal, writes Patria.
