SBB supports the request of judges and prosecutors

The SBB MPs' club in the House of Representatives of BiH Parliament will vote against the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Salaries and Other Benefits in Judicial and Prosecutorial Institutions, at the BiH level, proposed by the Council of Ministers of BiH, by which the Council of Ministers intends to determine the income of judges and prosecutors, confirmed Mirsad Đonlagić, chairman of the SBB MPs' club, to journalists.

However, he added that SBB will support the positions of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council expressed in the letter sent by the HJPC to the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, i.e., the House of Representatives, on November 14.

- The SBB MPs' club wishes to support the independence and autonomy of prosecutors and judges in performing judicial and prosecutorial activities, and that is our clear stance - said Đonlagić.

The HJPC previously sent a letter, i.e., an opinion, to the Council of Ministers regarding this Bill. They stated that the Bill proposed by the Council of Ministers at its 72nd session and sent for an abbreviated parliamentary procedure, significantly differs from the Draft on which the Council expressed its opinion based on Article 17.28 of the Law on the HJPC of BiH, specifically regarding the regulation of compensation for the use of annual leave.
