SBB to elect new party leadership today

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Third Congress of the Alliance for a Better Future of BiH is being held today in Mostar. 

As previously stated by the party, sessions of the Organizational Committee and the technical preparation team were held during the week, and it was decided that, in addition to the exposé by President Fahrudin Radončić, top SBB officials will also address the delegates and guests today with their proposals for programmatic goals.

It was also announced that the Minister of Energy, Mining, and Industry of the FBiH Government, Nermin Džindić, will address the Congress today, presenting on the state of the economy and industry in BiH. 

On the extremely important topic of ecology, the Minister of Environment and Tourism, doc. dr. Edita Đapo, will give a presentation, while the Deputy Prime Minister of the FBiH Government, Vesko Drljača, will speak about the state of social policy, and prof. dr. Mirsad Kacila will elaborate on the state of healthcare. 

Following him, mr. Zlatan Muratović will speak about education, and one of the SBB Vice-Presidents, Admir Čavka, will address the Congress with an analysis of the situation in Republika Srpska.

The upcoming Congress is considered by the SBB leadership to be very important for the continuity of the party's policy, but also an opportunity for an inevitable reset of internal relations. 

Earlier, as announced by SBB, due to inactivity among the membership during the local elections, several individuals were highlighted, whom the party no longer counts on, and they were practically given an internal party message that it would be better for them to leave voluntarily than to be expelled.

Today's Congress is the beginning of a major personnel overhaul for SBB and a firm commitment that political positions and spots on candidate lists next year should go to young and proven SBB members.

Otherwise, as expected, the Congress will elect the president, the Court of Honour, the Supervisory Board, and the new Main Board of SBB. After that, the Main Board will elect the new Presidency of the party.
