Advice for Drivers: Roads are Wet and Slippery, Adjust Driving to Road Conditions

(Patria) - Roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina are mostly passable, with traffic moving on wet or damp surfaces.

Due to unstable weather and temperature fluctuations, landslides of earth and stones are possible on the road, announced BIHAMK.

BIHAMK highlights the following sections: Bihać - Srbljani - Bosanska Krupa, Jajce - Banja Luka, Turbe - Karanovac, Bugojno - Kupres, Jablanica - Prozor, Konjic - Jablanica - Mostar - Doljani, Sarajevo - Foča - Šćepan Polje, and Rogatica - Višegrad.

They appeal to drivers to adjust their driving and speed to the road conditions. They also ask other traffic participants to adhere to traffic regulations.

Landslide remediation is underway in Sijeračke stijene on the Dobro Polje - Miljevina main road, where traffic is suspended for up to 45 minutes between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

Due to active landslide remediation on the Ostrožac - Buturović Polje regional road, traffic is temporarily suspended. Alternative routes are in use and are recommended until the work is completed.

Works are also ongoing on the A-1 highway section Podlugovi - Sarajevo sjever, as well as on the main roads: Semizovac - Olovo, Donja Orahovica - Šićki Brod (near Koksara Lukavac), Bileća - Trebinje (at Žudojevići), Zavidovići - Vozuća (in Krivaja), Klašnice - Banja Luka, Jablanica - Blidinje (on the Jablanica - Kosne Luke section), Konjic - Jablanica (Ostrožac), Jablanica - Prozor (Mirci settlement), Gacko - Foča (in Sastavci), Mostar - Čitluk (at the entrance to Čitluk), and Jajce - Crna Rijeka.

Due to road damage on the Žepče - Maglaj main road (Ozimica location), at the junction with the future highway interchange, traffic is moving slowly.

Long queues of passenger vehicles are observed at the exits from Bosnia and Herzegovina at the border crossings Izačić, Bosanska Dubica, Bosanska Gradiška, and Bosanski Brod, while drivers can expect congestion in both directions at the Gradina border crossing.

At other border crossings, waiting times for passenger vehicles do not exceed 30 minutes.

Due to passenger registration under the new European Union entry/exit system (EES), longer delays at border crossings are possible.

The Brčko border crossing is open for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tons. Traffic is prohibited for vehicles over 5 tons of maximum permissible weight at the Karakaj border crossing (near Zvornik).

Trucks over 5 tons are redirected to the Bratunac or Rača border crossings, while buses can use the Šepak border crossing.

Trucks can use the Šepak border crossing from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM (on weekends, they can cross between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM).
