Alliance for Changes signed an agreement on joint appearance in local elections

The presidents of the Alliance for Changes parties signed a memorandum of cooperation today in Banja Luka, according to which they will have joint candidates for mayors in the upcoming elections, but will also appear jointly in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska and in the institutions of BiH, reports the Patria News Agency.

The memorandum was signed by the presidents of the Serb Democratic Party (SDS) Mladen Bosić, Party of Democratic Progress (PDP) Branislav Borenović, National Democratic Movement (NDP) Dragan Čavić, Serb Radical Party (SRS) of Republika Srpska Milanko Mihajilica, Forward Srpska party Adam Šukalo, and the Movement “For Justice and Order” Nebojša Vukanović.

Bosić told reporters in Banja Luka after the signing that the signed memorandum represents a “rebirth of the Alliance for Changes.”

– The opposition and all major opposition parties have agreed to form the Alliance for Changes, which will have a stronger structure and will be able to make unified decisions in its further actions in an attempt to create something better in Republika Srpska, to enable it to have a future, to change the current priorities, i.e., to put people’s lives, the economy, and employment first, Bosić emphasized.

He added that the Presidency of the Alliance consists of the presidents of these six political parties.

– We have a body that will coordinate and define policy at the level of Republika Srpska and appear jointly in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, headed by Čavić, and we have a body that will coordinate the work of our representatives in the institutions of BiH, headed by the member of the BiH Presidency from RS Mladen Ivanić, Bosić explained, adding that he heads the Presidency of the Alliance for Changes.

Bosić said that the SDS will respect everything that the leaders of the six parties agree on within the Alliance when it comes to coalitions with SNSD in some municipalities.

– We are going into the elections with joint candidates for mayors. We will have separate party lists or joint lists, depending on the situation, which will attempt to form parliamentary majorities after the elections, Bosić said, adding that concrete talks about individual municipalities will begin in January, ATV reported.
