Alliance for Changes Fully Supports Dragan Mektić: Someone Here Must Feel a Bit of Prison Time

Leaders of parties from Republika Srpska, which form the Alliance for Changes, held a meeting and a joint press conference in Banja Luka, reports Patria News Agency.

SDS President Vukota Govedarica confirmed that the Alliance for Changes will have a joint candidate for the President of RS and member of the Presidency of BiH from RS in the 2018 General Elections. Govedarica also emphasized that the Alliance for Changes is open to cooperation with all parties.

- I am taking this opportunity to talk about the scandal that has shaken BiH's reality, and that is the wiretapping scandal. We support Minister Dragan Mektić. We support him to continue fighting against the judicial political evil that holds the citizens of both entities in its grip – Govedarica stated.

Govedarica added that it is necessary to investigate who is behind Josip Šimić, and that the acting Chief Prosecutor of BiH, Gordana Tadić, should resign.

- We expect that after this scandal, someone will finally taste a bit of prison time in this country, someone must go to prison, so that these people can live freely. It could be someone from the prosecutor's office, honor to those the state can count on – Govedarica stated.

Govedarica assessed the adoption of the announced Declaration on the Survival of Serbs, initiated by Belgrade and Banja Luka, as an important step, but emphasized that the fund planned for certain projects must be depoliticized so that Milorad Dodik cannot lobby for projects in areas where his SNSD is in power.

PDP President Branislav Borenović stated that the Alliance for Changes will always have a clear stance on all important issues for BiH, and emphasized that the current government is behind the destruction of RS.

- We are together, and together we will win the elections – Borenović stated.

NDP leader Dragan Čavić said that the announced Declaration must be adopted by the assemblies of Serbia and RS, and called on the Government of Serbia that when it decides to help Serbs in RS, it should do so based on needs, not on instructions from elsewhere.
