Sattler: Role and Competences of the Constitutional Court of BiH of Fundamental Importance for the Country

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Commenting on the latest developments, the Head of the EU Delegation and EU Special Representative in BiH, Ambassador Johann Sattler, said that the European Union reiterates that the role and competences of the Constitutional Court of BiH are of fundamental importance for the country, including the final and binding nature of its decisions.

"We call on political actors to focus on Bosnia and Herzegovina's progress on its path towards European Union membership. The EU attaches great importance to the functionality of institutions and calls on all political actors in the country to refrain from divisive activities that could jeopardise vital reforms in the interest of BiH citizens.

The BiH authorities are expected to ensure the appropriate continuation of work in the context of the key priorities outlined in the Opinion, including those related to the Constitutional Court of BiH."
