
(Patria) - Head of the European Union (EU) Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina and EU Special Representative in BiH, Ambassador Johann Sattler, will be in Banja Luka today and tomorrow.
Sattler will attend the conference titled "Challenges and Future of Business #3" today, organised by the Union of Employers of Republika Srpska, with funding from the European Union. The aim of the conference is to identify key economic and social challenges that will contribute to building a productive and socially just society, it was announced from the EU Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
After that, Ambassador Sattler will open the conference "Civil Society and Media: Critical Voices Under Pressure". As announced, the conference will also be addressed by the Head of the OSCE Mission in BiH, Brian Aggeler, as well as the Executive Director of Transparency International in BiH, Ivana Korajlić.
During the two panels that will follow, representatives of civil society, experts, and representatives of institutions and media will discuss current topics related to the work of civil society organisations and the draft law on a special register and public access to the work of non-profit organisations.
On Thursday, November 23, Ambassador Sattler will officially open new "urban markets"/mobile sales points in Banja Luka at the Nova Varoš City Market. This is one of a total of five new "urban markets" in Banja Luka (Lazarevo, Nova Varoš, Borik, Obilićevo, and Starčevica), the equipment for which was financed by the European Union within the EU4Agri project.
During his visit to Banja Luka, Sattler will also hold meetings with representatives of the authorities of Republika Srpska, as well as representatives of the opposition, according to the statement from the EU Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
