Sattler cuts annual leave short and returns to BiH due to migrant crisis!

SARAJevo, (Patria) - Head of the EU Delegation to BiH Johann Sattler is cutting his annual leave short and returning to BiH, it was unofficially confirmed for the Patria News Agency. 

Sattler is on leave in Austria for the Christmas holidays, and he has been monitoring the situation with the migrant crisis, which worsened last week after the Lipa camp was disbanded, leaving hundreds of migrants without adequate accommodation. 

Negotiations between international institutions and BiH authorities have not yielded results, and although the BiH Council of Ministers made a decision this morning to accommodate migrants in the former Bira reception center, it has not been implemented due to the earlier decision by the Una-Sana Canton authorities to close that center. 

Despite pressure from the European Union, migrants from Lipa have still not been transferred to other accommodation. Throughout the day, employees of international organizations distributed food, sleeping bags, and warm clothing to the migrants.
