Meeting of the Troika and HDZ today in Mostar

(Patria) - A meeting of representatives of the Troika parties and HDZ has been announced for today in Mostar, starting at 1:00 PM.

It is expected that, in addition to the current political and security situation in BiH, the focus will also be on the status of SNSD in the ruling coalition at the state level.

HDZ leader Dragan Čović said ahead of today's meeting that he expects discussions on the current political situation and confirmation of partnerships.

- I want to see how to resolve this situation and continue forward; we must not stand still for too long - said Čović.

He emphasized that it seems to him that "the decisions of the National Assembly of the RS have kept us occupied with ourselves."

- And we must not focus on ourselves; that is the essence. I am convinced that tomorrow we will very clearly outline steps regarding the entity issue and regarding Bosnia and Herzegovina - Čović said yesterday.

- We must do everything to challenge these efforts that aim to slow down the European path and the functioning of institutions; we must resolve all this peacefully, that is, we must ensure peace.

No one has the right in any way to expose any resident of BiH to security challenges. No one has the right to jeopardize the European path, because if they do, we are not aware of what our partners from Europe will do with us in the next six months.

We barely won some of them over. We must adopt these two laws, elect a negotiator for the EU, and adopt the budget - stated Čović.

When asked about the remark from the Troika that they are coming to see whose side he is on, Čović said:

"Neither the Troika, nor anyone else, has anything to look at. We are on our own side. On the side of all residents of BiH, the Croatian people, and the homeland of BiH. Whoever likes it, likes it; whoever doesn't, can think differently."

Finally, he concluded that the primary issue is constitutional equality and the Election Law of BiH.
