SDA and SNSD meeting without agreement

SARAJEVO, (Patria) – After the meeting held by the delegations of SDA and SNSD, Adil Osmanović and Staša Košarac addressed the press. Košarac stated that another meeting in a series was held regarding the establishment of government at the state level.

“Our position is to stop hiring. The shelf life of those from RS who are currently in the Council of Ministers has expired. Therefore, it is time to implement the will of the voters. We stand by our position that there should be three ministers from each of the three peoples in the Council of Ministers. It is very important to include the third partner in the talks. We did not discuss the distribution of portfolios because the third partner was not present,” said Košarac.

He stated that this meeting with SDA was agreed upon earlier and that there is nothing problematic about it being held today without HDZ, but that nothing can be agreed upon without the third partner.

Košarac also confirmed that SNSD will not attend the Parliament session tomorrow, as the agenda was carelessly prepared. He stated that there are no valid reasons, materials, or political circumstances to discuss anything, because it is unclear “who is in power and who is in opposition.”

Adil Osmanović emphasized that SDA is committed to forming the government as soon as possible, both in the Federation and in BiH.

“The delegation presented the position at the meeting that the Constitution must be respected and that the Annual National Plan must be submitted. We did not find understanding on this issue. Regarding the number of ministers from RS and FBiH, we said that the practice so far has been that when a Serb is at the head of the Council of Ministers, they can count on two more ministerial positions. We did not find understanding on this either,” said Osmanović.

He stated that there are no conditions from SDA, but they are only asking for the Constitution and the Law on Defense to be respected. Osmanović said that if SNSD has a Plan B, and if it is in accordance with the Constitution and the law, they should implement it.

The Deputy President of SDA stated that they asked SNSD for a model to activate the Annual National Plan, but that it is not acceptable to them at all. He emphasized that with the election of the Collegium of the House of Representatives, the government has been presented, and that SDA is now working on expanding the parliamentary majority, i.e., seeking additional partners.
