Meeting of SDA, HDZ and SNSD postponed to next week, negotiations with DF by Friday

(Patria) - The meeting of delegations of SDA, HDZ and SNSD, which was supposed to be held this week, has been postponed to next week, while a meeting of delegations of SDA and DF will be held by Friday, it was confirmed for the Patria news agency in the Party of Democratic Action.

The President of HDZ BiH Dragan Čović recently stated that the formation of the Council of Ministers of BiH has been agreed upon between the three political blocs, and that from that party, apart from SDA and SNSD, they do not want to negotiate in the new government with any other political parties.

When asked whether DF is desirable as a partner in the new government, Čović said that „among Bosniaks, the SDA, i.e. Bakir Izetbegović, leads the bloc of parties.“

Legal experts and commentator on political relations in BiH Muharem Cero stated earlier for the Patria agency that DF should not agree to be treated as a Bosniak party, because, as he said, without the participation of civic parties in the future government, the political system in Bosnia and Herzegovina would definitively be divided into three ethnic representations: Bosniak, Serbian and Croatian representation, while all those parties that do not carry an ethnic prefix would be completely excluded from political life.

„Such behavior by Čović and Milorad Dodik, the President of SNSD, is contrary to the Dayton Peace Agreement, the Constitution of BiH, and also to civilizational values“, said Cero. 

According to the Constitution of BiH, the holders of sovereignty in Bosnia and Herzegovina are the three constituent peoples, as well as Others.
