Meeting Nikšić-Inzko: Reform Agenda Should Be Presented to the Public as Soon as Possible

President of the Social Democratic Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina Nermin Nikšić received the High Representative in BiH Valentin Inzko, and the topic of today's meeting was a discussion of the current political situation in our country, reports the Patria news agency.

At the meeting, Nikšić assessed that the current political situation in our country is unfavorable, because it is evident that the ruling parties do not have enough capacity to fulfill all their pre-election promises and continue with the reform processes important for our country. It was emphasized that the SDP, in its opposition activities and with all available capacities, will continue to criticize all moves of the ruling coalition that are not in the interest of citizens.

At the meeting, it was reiterated that the SDP gives full support to the British-German initiative and the reform processes in BiH, which should be started as soon as possible, so that our country can find itself on the path to European integration as quickly as possible. At the same time, it was assessed at the meeting that the Reform Agenda, signed by the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Government of the Federation of BiH, should be presented to the citizens as soon as possible, so that they too can have insight into what the representatives of the authorities have committed to.

The High Representative was also presented with the SDP initiative on amendments to the Election Law of BiH, which would allow the introduction of early elections.

Nikšić informed the High Representative about the processes within the SDP BiH and the implementation of internal party elections according to the principle of One member-one vote, making the SDP the first party in BiH to conduct internal party elections for presidents of local organizations in this way and to this extent.
