Meeting between Minister Bošnjak and Rector Zaimović: Focus on Higher Education and Research

(Patria) - The Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dubravka Bošnjak, met with the Rector of the University of Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Tarik Zaimović, with whom she discussed current issues in the fields of science, higher education, research, and international cooperation.

During the discussion, the importance of continuous support for the development of higher education in Bosnia and Herzegovina was emphasized. Minister Bošnjak pointed out that the Ministry of Civil Affairs supports all activities aimed at creating conditions for strengthening scientific research work, as well as strengthening the international cooperation of domestic higher education institutions.

Rector Zaimović presented the priorities of the University of Sarajevo, with a special emphasis on strengthening academic mobility and improving research capacities.

Also, challenges faced by universities in BiH were discussed, including improving conditions for young researchers and increasing international competitiveness.

It was concluded that the Ministry of Civil Affairs and the University of Sarajevo will continue their cooperation with the aim of improving the quality of higher education and scientific research work in BiH.
